Pure water from above, hand-finished at low level so every bracket and joint is clean — not just the visible face.
A fascia and soffit clean usually takes 2–3 hours — often quicker when there are two or three of us on the round. Booked separately or as part of an annual exterior clean.
Bundle with windows or gutters? Most customers book fascia and soffit cleaning as part of an annual exterior refresh — windows, gutters, fascia, drives — and we can quote the lot together for a discount. Just ask.
Fascia and soffit cleaning done badly leaves streaks, kills algae temporarily, and looks worse six months later. Our process is built to last.
Pure water from above
Same reach-and-wash kit we use on windows, pointed at the fascias. Pure water lifts algae and traffic film without any detergent or chemical residue left behind.
Hand-finished at low level
Brackets, joints, internal corners and underside of soffits — all hand-cleaned where reach allows. The bits other cleaners skip.
No power-washing
Power-washing UPVC tears the surface and pushes water behind the boards. We never use it. Pure water plus hand-finishing gives a better result with no damage.
Connected downpipes
The downpipes that run off the fascia are cleaned at the same time — part of the price, not an extra. Gutters are a separate service but easy to add as a package.
Reach-and-wash poles get pure water where it needs to be without ladders. Hand-finished at low level so every bracket is clean to the touch.
A proper fascia and soffit clean isn’t one job, it’s three. Each stage has a purpose, and skipping any of them is why most cleans don’t last.
Pure water applied from above using reach-and-wash poles. Deionised, with no minerals or detergents to leave streaks or attract dirt back. Softens algae and traffic film ready for the scrub.
Soft-bristle pole heads agitate the surface to lift traffic film, road grime and weathered residue. Gentle on UPVC, but enough mechanical action to lift years of build-up.
Brackets, joints, internal corners — hand-cleaned to take care of the bits that poles can’t quite reach. This is what separates a proper clean from a quick one.
A fascia clean done correctly stays looking good for two to three years. Done with a power-washer and a quick once-over, expect algae back within six months — usually with damage to the UPVC underneath. The hand-finish is what makes the difference.

Most fascia damage we see was caused by the previous cleaner. Power-washing UPVC is fast, cheap, and ruinous. We don’t do it — and we’ll be honest about what’s repairable.
Pure water always — never high pressure
High pressure forces water behind the boards, pits the UPVC surface, and shortens the life of your fascias. We refuse to do it that way.
Connected downpipes included
The downpipes that run off the fascia get cleaned at the same time, not charged separately. Gutter cleaning is a different service — happy to bundle if you want both.
Honest about damage
If your fascia is cracked, sagging or rotten underneath, cleaning won’t fix it. We’ll tell you straight — not pretend it’s just dirt.
Free patch fix on streaks
If a section streaks within seven days, we come back and put it right. Almost never needed, but the offer’s there.

The things people ask before booking a fascia clean. If yours isn’t here, ring 01454 854839.
Not with pure water at low pressure. The damage we see most often is from previous power-washing — pitting on the UPVC, water ingress behind the boards, and accelerated algae regrowth. We don’t use power washers on fascias.
Every two to three years for most houses. Properties under trees or in damp microclimates may need it sooner. Once they’re properly cleaned and hand-finished, they stay looking good for a long time.
No — we’re a cleaning specialist, not a roofing contractor. If we spot rot, sag or cracking, we’ll flag it honestly and recommend a local fascia replacement company. No commission, no upsell.
Common, especially on north-facing soffits. Pure water plus a soft-bristle scrub lifts it off the surface without needing chemicals. For very heavy lichen we may need a second visit, but most domestic algae is dealt with in one go.
Not strictly — as long as we can get a hose to a tap and reach the back garden. Most customers prefer to be around for a quick walk-round at the end.
Yes — and we’d recommend it. An annual exterior refresh (windows + gutters + fascia + sometimes drives) is the most cost-effective way to keep the house looking sharp. Bundle prices on request.
